Mike Drobick started his trade show industry career more than 40 years ago in Chicago with McCormick Displays as a field and shop worker.  When Osgood purchased McCormick Mike stayed on in production and estimating.  In 1989 Mike joined the team as CB Displays continuing with estimating and production.   Mike moved from CB to RND Exhibits Int’l as their Las Vegas City Manager.    He was later kept on at Crossroad in the same capacity.    His responsibilities included daily shop and warehouse management as well as coordinating and supervising labor on show site.

Mike was widowed during COVID and his wife Pat lost her long battle with cancer.

Early in May of this year Mike was taken to the ER not feeling well.  After a number of tests they discovered some bleeding ulcers.  While undergoing care to resolve the ulcer issues Mike suffered two mini strokes.   After some follow up visits, the medical staff found a blood clot in the back of his neck on a blood vessel that feeds his brain.   The blood clot is being addressed with medication and he continues to be monitored by medical staff.

Mike does have one son, Mike Jr., who lives in Costa Rica, but who has come to assist Mike with getting to appointments and helping him take care of his home.

Mike was prevented from working while he was hospitalized and he continues to be laid up under home health.  While he can work on a very limited basis now he has a long road back before he returns to full capacity.
