Kim is a Senior Designer and beloved family member of Classic Exhibits.
Kim, a prior recipient of the Randy, sadly has had a return of her cancer. This not only came as a shock, but also came with many more layers of challenges based on the new diagnosis. She had defeated breast cancer before…but after receiving treatment for a large abscess in her lower abdomen it was discovered, in fact, her breast cancer that had sadly returned. Kim’s oncologist prescribed a targeted therapy breast cancer medication. Luckily she did not need to have chemo or radiation at this time. Kim takes a medication called Ribociclib – three weeks on and one week off. She will be on this medication for 2 to 5 years until it no longer is effective and then my oncologist will switch me to another medication that should work for another couple of years. Long story short, as she will be on medication for the rest of her life, and as long as it works, she won’t have to have chemotherapy.
