Ben Friedman joined the San Francsico Local 510 apprenticeship in early 2019. His background prior to joining the union was in construction and art installations. During his 5 years as a 510 Decorator Ben has learned all aspects of the tradeshow industry from marking and setting up show floors, assisting with overhead rigging, applying large format graphics and doing exhibit installation and dismantle. He has traveled to assist I&D companies outside of San Francisco and loves the variety the job brings.
In early August 2023 Ben’s daughter, Kealani, was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia and started chemotherapy immediately. Ben has stopped working to be by her side. Prepping meals is a hard task these days and he would appreciate any help with meals and/or donations. The meals can be delivered to UCSF Childrens Hospital security desk.
Any funds donated would be used to help pay rent or transportation expenses and is greatly appreciated.
